Career Advocate Program for the 50+ Job Seeker

For those beginning a job search for the first time in many years, the Career Advocate Program offers support and new perspectives.

Bruce Cruz, Career Advocate, has successfully completed a journey of transition and reinvention to create an encore career after becoming unemployed several years ago. He uses personal experience to help others and offers a non-judgmental perspective to job seekers 50 and over.

The primary purpose of the Career Advocate is to listen, provide support and advocate for the unemployed person. Discussions with the Career Advocate are not to be construed as legal advice.

Free, one-hour, one-on-one appointments can be scheduled on select Monday and Wednesday evenings at the Arlington Heights Senior Center. Call the Center at (847) 253-5532 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
