St. Stephen Gaslight Players present 'Fiddler on the Roof'
The Gaslight Players of St. Stephen Church, Des Plaines, will perform "Fiddler on the Roof" for two weekends in February.
Performances are 7:30 p.m. Fridays, Feb. 17 and 24, and Saturdays, Feb. 18 and 25; and 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19. Doors will open one hour before the performance.
Tickets are $15 for adults; $10 for seniors; and $8 for children. Tickets can be ordered by contacting Kathy Drelicharz at (773) 391-3185 or by email at kdreli@aol.com. Tickets will also be sold at the door.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
The performances take place in Hanley Hall at St. Stephen Church, 1280 Prospect Ave., in Des Plaines, on the corner of Prospect and Spruce.
Cast members include John Benischek as Tevye; Joan Mattingly as Golde; Stephanie Zalewski as Tzeitel; Gabby Potempa as Hodel; Abby Young as Chava; Sofia Cupuro as Shprintze; Caitlyn Mattick as Bielke; Tony Wojnar as Perchik; Brandon Young as Motel Kamzoil; Dominic Fosco as Fyedka; Rob Potempa as Lazar Wolf; Jeanne Cox as Yente; Phyllis Rotondo as Fruma Sarah; Caryl Davidson as Grandma Tzeitel; Jim Szczesniak as Mordcha; Charlie Vana as the Rabbi; John Feddeler as the Constable; Amelia Potempa as the Fiddler; Denise Wiorek as Shaindel; Raphael Ranola as the Beggar; Zeke Teran as Mendel; Greg Cieply as Avram; and Jessica Cieply as Sasha.
Other cast members are: Denise Adams, Mariann Bilodeau, Marie Burke, Allison Fradkin, Kylie Wojnar, Brooke Day, Emma and Heidi Faulstick, Hannah Kallio, Laura and Adam Obenberger, Grace Vana, Abby Young and Bella, Nadia and Anton Sokol.
Music director Dan Surma leads band members Cheryl Burke, Pete Hurtenbach, Brian Sokol, Charlie Vana, and Anna Gillan. The play is directed by Libby McGuire Giovanni and Joanna Fosco.
Technical director is Wayne Dean. Producers are Charlie and Jill Vana and Phyllis Rotondo. The choreographer is Libby McGuire Giovanni. The set designers are Wayne Dean and Joanna Fosco.
Props are organized by Debbie Szczesniak. Costumes are provided by Broadway Costumes, Sacred Heart School and Frank Roberts, and coordinated by Debbie Feddeler and Danielle Broehl.
The stage manager is Debbie Szczesniak, and assistant stage managers are Thomas Didier and Mary Spielman.
The running crew is Brad Flaminio and John Feddeler. Lighting is handled by Dana Palka and Matthew Zalinski, and sound by Samantha Thielman. The rehearsal sound technician is Glenn Wiorek.
Members of the set construction crew are Wayne Dean, Rusty Burke, William Burke, Bill Dean, Charlie Vana, Tom Stancato, John Feddeler, Jim Szczesniak, Bill Giovanni, Jeff and Nick Underwood, Rob Potempa, John Benischek, Brian Sokol and John Feddeler.
