Tickets for Lake Zurich's Craft Beer Festival on sale Wednesday

Discounted tickets are available on Eventbrite starting Wednesday, Feb. 1, for Lake Zurich's third annual Craft Beer Festival on Friday and Saturday, May 12 and 13, at picturesque Paulus Park, 200 S. Rand Road, Lake Zurich.

Join the Lake Zurich community to celebrate the change of seasons with unique beer and those who brew it.

The fest's hours for local live music entertainment and beer tastings will be from 5-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

"The Craft Beer Fest is a popular community gathering that we started in 2015 because Lake Zurich residents requested more quality local events," Mayor Tom Poynton said. "We are fine-tuning it to make it even better each year. This has developed into a signature event that showcases our great village and draws in people from throughout the region."

The cost for a single day craft beer tasting pass is $39 in advance or $50 on-site. Tasting passes include admission to the festival, live music, a commemorative souvenir tasting glass, and unlimited three-ounce beers offered by acclaimed local and regional breweries. At least 40 craft beers will be available. There will also be local food vendors at the event to complement the craft beer tasting. Food purchases are not included in the ticket price.

Designated driver admission will be available for $10 (no glass provided).

According to Recreation Manager Bonnie Caputo, this event "takes a lot of hard work and dedication from the volunteers on the Park Advisory Board. These fabulous community volunteers commit many hours of their busy lives to create this great festival for our village."

You must be 21 years of age or older with a valid ID to enter the craft beer fest. This includes general admission. No pets are permitted on the park grounds.

The village of Lake Zurich cautions all fest goers to drink responsibly and have designated drivers available. The Holiday Inn Express is located directly across the street from Paulus Park and has rooms available on both Friday and Saturday nights. Give them a call at (847) 726-7500 and reserve your room if you might need to stay nearby.
