Naperville Water Street District Wine Bar Names Chef

Naperville, IL - SixtyFour - A Wine Bar, opening in May 2017 in the Water Street District in downtown Naperville, is excited to announce the hiring of Patrick McLaughlin as Executive Chef. Chef Patrick was most recently the Executive Chef at Parkers' Restaurant and Bar in Downers Grove, IL.

Renowned and honored for his commitment to local and sustainable sourcing, Chef Patrick began his culinary journey at a little bakery outside of Philadelphia at the age of 12. As a line cook at age 16, Chef Patrick discovered a passion for dishes derived from an eclectic mix of styles and cultures, a passion that is expressed even today.

Chef Patrick continued the pursuit of his passion at the 3-Star Park Hyatt Chicago where he was firmly entrenched in French technique; the search for quality ingredients and the proper components of a dish. Over the next several years, Chef Patrick continued to engage positions that would enhance his understanding of multi-national styles and techniques.

As Executive Sous Chef at the 4-Star Hotel Jerome in Aspen, and the 4-Star Silvertree Hotel in Snowmass, Chef Patrick developed a love of southwestern cuisine and high altitude cooking. Ultimately, he returned to Chicago with a desire to continue his education in French cuisine as Sous Chef for Jovan Trboyevic at Les Nomades. Later, Chef Patrick found a model of hospitality and professionalism in kitchens at Neiman Marcus on Michigan Avenue and discovered the joy of improvisational cooking at the University Club of Chicago.

For the last 13 years Chef Patrick has been the Executive Chef at Parkers' Restaurant and Bar, where he helped to create an award winning menu, an acclaimed wine list, and a committed local following. Pat also works to support charitable organizations, instruct culinary students, and educate staff and guests on sustainable practices.

As the new Executive Chef at SixtyFour - A Wine Bar on Water Street, Chef Patrick will develop an exciting new menu, and oversee all kitchen operations. SixtyFour - A Wine Bar will feature 64 wines by the glass for tasting, using self-serve wine stations operated by the guests using their own smart cards. Guests will be able to select a 1.0 oz. taste, a 2.5 oz. half glass, or a 5.0 oz. full glass from any of our 64 wines offered daily. In addition, SixtyFour - A Wine Bar will feature 64 local and regional craft beers, and approximately 64 extraordinary appetizers, entrees, and desserts on our menu.

SixtyFour - A Wine Bar is owned and operated by local Wheaton residents Loren and Amy Beadle. They also own Island Sport, LLC which operates eight retail and restaurant concepts in South Carolina and Illinois, including the new Southern Tide retail store in the Water Street District. Founded in 2005, Island Sport, LLC will surpass $10 million in revenue in 2017, and employs over 100 people in these two states.

SixtyFour - A Wine Bar is currently under construction, and is planned to open in late May. Along with four other restaurants, and six retail shops, the Water Street District also features the 150+ room Hotel Indigo, and a 500+ space free parking garage.
