Video highlights District 214's education

High School District 214 recently released a video highlighting staff's efforts to help students dream bigger and reach their full potential.

The four-minute video, titled "We are all District 214," was released during American Education Week. In the video, students and alumni share how, while others may have labeled them, they achieved success and discovered their futures because of their education in District 214.

In an email introducing the video to parents, District 214 Superintendent Dr. David R. Schuler explained the district's commitment to helping change lives by making the schools a welcoming and empowering place for every single student who walks through the doors.

"One of the best things about public education in this country is that we welcome everyone. It can be incredibly easy to break others down, but our obligation as educators is to raise the moral standard for our students, with a commitment to building them up and helping them become more. Our staff does that every day," he wrote.
