Brooks, Round Lake get NLCC win

Round Lake's girls basketball team picked up a Northern Lake County Conference win on the road Wednesday with a 49-33 decision at North Chicago.

Hannah Brooks paced the Panthers (5-14, 2-5) with 12 points, and Allie Ramirez and Griselda Martinez had 9 apiece.

Karen Maggett had 10 points to pace the Warhawks, who slipped to 0-8 in conference play.

Libertyville 52, Mundelein 41: Sophomore guard Margaret Buchert made four 3s (including 3 in the second quarter) on her way to a game-high 17 points as the host Wildcats won in North Suburban Conference action.

Lydia Crow had 13 and Emma Manolovic 7 for Libertyville (10-10, 5-4).

Morgan Frank led the way for Mundelein (7-15, 2-6) with 15 points. She had 9 of them during the fourth quarter, during which the Mustangs scored 19 points.

Kendall Klatt finished with 8 points for Mundelein, and teammate Ellie Maldonado had all of her 6 points in the fourth quarter.
