I took this picture on the shoulder of Shaffner Rd by Cantigny. I believe the scene is more autumnal than the warm February day it was taken on!

All the clouds and rain of the last couple of days have me yearning for Florida and sunshine. I loved the bright blue sky and water, and the pop of orange from the kayaks. This beach photo was taken in January. The beach wasn't very crowded as it was a little cool for Floridians - only in the seventies!

After they put out a house fire, in Sun City West AZ., these brave firefighters returned back to the Engine to clean off the dirt and soot they had on them and their gear. I liked the shot because it shows the load they carry while they perform their dangerous jobs. Thanks for other job well done!

This photo was taken this February at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, IL, after a two-inch snowfall etched the trees. In order to represent the classic beauty of this scene, I used a Lensbaby Velvet 56 lens to give the image a soft glow, and then converted the original color photo to black-and-white.
