Splash up some fun at Schaumburg Park District pools

Nothing says summer like the opening of Schaumburg Park District's outdoor pools!

Bock Pool, 1223 W. Sharon Lane, will open May 26 with special hours May 29-31 while District 54 schools are in session. Bock Pool is home to a wading pool, diving area, children's slide, climbing wall and swim lessons.

Atcher Island, 730 S. Springinsguth Road and Meineke Pool, 220 E. Weathersfield Way, will open June 1. The tropical-themed Atcher Island features water and bowl slides, a wading pool, sprayground and a concessions stand. Meineke Pool features water and drop slides, a 50-meter Olympic pool, separate diving well, water playground and swim lessons.

"We are busy gearing up for the season," said Heather Hagstrom, aquatics supervisor. "We can't wait to see our returning patrons and meet new ones. It's going to be a hot summer so come out to see us and cool off at one of our outdoor pools."

Multiple pool pass options are available for families, youth, adults and seniors. Pool passes are on sale to residents at the early bird rate through May 25.
