Youth have fun at Grace Lutheran's 'Maker Fun Factory' VBS

Grace Lutheran Church of Lily Lake had a wonderful, fun-filled week of vacation Bible school June 25-29.

The children learned about "Maker Fun Factory" and the wonders of how each of them were made "Wonderfully Complex" through songs, skits, imagination, Bible Discoveries, games and snacks.

Kids made "Gusty Bears" where they filled their bears with different types of items like a heart, yarn for veins, noisy paper for joints, cotton balls, etc. because everyone is made differently and unique.

For their service project, the children also made "Bunnies" out of washcloths. Their creations will be heading to El Salvador later this summer.

On the last day of VBS, each child received a knitted "prayer bear" to remind them that "God is always with you" and is always there.

The children weren't the only ones having fun during the week, as the church held an adult VBS session at the same time.

The week wrapped up with an ice cream social where families joined in the fun of making sundaes, donated by Luau Coffee, and raising money for our El Salvador Mission project.

Next year's VBS will be June 24-28. Look for more information on upcoming events at www.graceoflilylake.com.
