Mundelein's Frank nets 1,000th point

Stevenson 45, Mundelein 34: Mundelein's Morgan Frank scored her 1,000th point, but the host Patriots earned the North Suburban Conference win on Senior Night.
Freshman Ava Bardic scored a season-high 20 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead Stevenson (19-9, 8-5). Freshman Simone Sawyer added 12 points, and Avery King had eight.
Frank, a junior forward and three-year varsity starter, scored her milestone point on a first-quarter 3-pointer. She finished with 16 points, including threes 3s. Frank (1,013 points) is the seventh player in MHS history to reach 1,000 points.
Kendall Klatt had 14 points for Mundelein (8-19, 3-10).
Vernon Hills 55, Highland Park 38: Kayla Caudle scored 20 points and grabbed 22 rebounds, as the visiting Cougars won in Central Suburban League North Division action.
Daniella Jarrell added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for Vernon Hills (14-10, 8-1). Piper Bedell had 7 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals, and Olivia Sweeney scored 7 points.
Addie Budnik scored 24 points for Highland Park.
"We did a great job on (Sydney) Ignoffo," Vernon Hills coach Paul Brettner said. "Budnik is a special player and, even though we gave her a lot of attention, she still ended up with 24 points. I thought we did a great job rebounding the ball and also in transition."
Warren 46, Zion-Benton 35: The host Blue Devils pulled off the North Suburban Conference upset.
Warren (7-16, 4-7) led 14-3 after one quarter but trailed 17-16 at halftime. The Blue Devils then outscored the Zee-Bees 19-8 in the third quarter and 11-10 in the fourth.
Zion-Benton fell to 18-7 and 7-5 with its second loss in as many nights.
