Willow South Lake Church Holds World Food Fair 2019
On Sunday, Sept. 8, Willow South Lake Church, Lincolnshire, will celebrate the diverse community that has been brought together at the church by holding its fourth annual World Food Fair. Hundreds of church attendees, guests and visitors are expected to sample foods from around the globe including St. Kitts, Italy, Korea, China, Philippines, Cambodia, Mexico, India, Ukraine, Germany and America.
The menu will include a variety of homemade creations from church members. For entertainment, the church will be hosting Chinese dancers, Brazilian Guitar music and an Indian band.
According to Justin Patton, operations director, "These events have been such a great expression of all the cultures represented in our church congregation. Its fun to come together and celebrate these cultures through delicious foods that we might not have tried before."
The church, at 625 Barclay Blvd., Lincolnshire, is one of the regional campuses of Willow Creek Community Church of South Barrington. Willow South Lake Church offers services weekly at 9 and 11 a.m.
The event will begin following the 11 a.m. service, around 12:30 p.m., and is open to the public.
A list of menu items and a map of the food tents are available on the "Willow Creek" app, which can be downloaded from iTunes or Google Play. Select "South Lake" as your campus.
