Get down to basics at Lake County's Farm Heritage and Harvest Festival

Celebrate the area's rich agricultural history and learn about life on the farm at the Lake County Farm Heritage Association's 27th annual Farm Heritage and Harvest Festival.

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 1060 E. Peterson Road, Grayslake.

The festival offers Farm Heritage tractors and displays, live music, animals, children's activities, food, entertainment, crafts and business vendors, a fall plants and decor sale, an auction and more.

Features include barrel train rides, wagon rides, threshing and sawmill demonstrations, an antique tractor show, a small engine display and the opportunity to drive a tractor or make your own length of rope.

The event takes place indoors and outdoors, rain or shine. Admission and parking are free; donations are suggested.
