Manduu to open fitness studio in Libertyville

Manduu announced it will open its first Chicago area studio at 1412 S. Milwaukee Ave. in Libertyville, the fitness studio chain announced.

Manduu uses whole-body electrical muscle stimulation, or EMS, to activate muscle fibers during short workout sessions tailored to each client's abilities and priorities. In each FDA-cleared, ultralow impact session, the client performs a series of exercises while low-voltage electrical impulses reach deep inside the muscle, providing efficient, effective strength training while greatly reducing the risk of injury. Although each Manduu session takes only 15 minutes, it provides the benefits of six-to-eight hours of traditional weight lifting.

A second studio is scheduled to open at 1466 Waukegan Road in Glenview in late March.
