Batavia mother's club cancels 2020 Fox Trot

Fox Trot 2020 is canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation has been closely following the ever-changing status of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control, Gov. Pritzker, and the Illinois Department of Public Health to cancel all public gatherings for the next eight weeks, the club is canceling the 2020 Fox Trot 5K/10K that was to be held on Saturday, April 25.

The health and well-being of the community is important to the Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation.

Though they are disappointed to cancel the always popular and fun Fox Trot, the club hopes that in doing so they are doing their part to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Registered racers will have the option of donating their registration fee to the Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation, or to transfer their registration to next year's 2021 Fox Trot.

The foundation is a registered 501(c) 3 nonprofit and club members work hard every year to raise money for families in the Fox Valley.

As a nonprofit which has already incurred some nonrefundable costs in the planning of the race, we are unable to provide refunds for registrants.

Club members appreciate your continued support of the Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation and its mission to improve the quality of life for children and families in the Fox Valley.

As the community navigates these uncertain and stressful times, it is a gift to be able to lean on our friends and neighbors.

Thank you for being a part of the Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation community.

Email foxtrot@bataviamothersclub.org with any questions or concerns.

Club members look forward to seeing you out on the running trails again soon!
