Police: Robbers steal man's cellphone in Naperville
A man had his cellphone stolen early Saturday during what he thought was going to be a meeting with a friend in Naperville, authorities said Monday.
The robbery occurred about 1 a.m. on the 200 block of East Bailey Road when the victim arrived in a parking lot after using Snapchat to arrange the meeting, police said.
Two unknown men, one wearing a mask, entered the victim's vehicle, police said. One of the suspects grabbed the victim from behind and demanded his cellphone. The suspects then drove off in a dark sedan heading south on Coach Drive.
The victim was not injured and police said the suspects did not show a weapon or imply they had one.
Police ask anyone who has information about the robbery to call the investigations division at (630) 420-6666.
