Batavia

• Five residents reported damage to their vehicles Saturday morning, each with a broken window and a large rock found inside their vehicle. The damage occurred on vehicles parked on the 900 block of Hanson Street, the 1000 block of Viking Street, 900 block of Campbell Street, 700 block of Nordic Street and 1100 block of Pine Street.

• A resident of the 900 block of Cleveland Street reported a case of harassment about 3:45 p.m. Thursday after receiving an email threatening to release personal photos if the resident didn't buy $2,000 in bitcoin.

Kane County

• Denise Marie Carrillo, 29, of the 100 block of Grove Street, Woodstock, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol concentration of .08 or more, driving on the shoulder and illegal transportation of alcohol at 8:09 p.m. April 14 after deputies were called to Nesler Road in Elgin Township for a car stuck on the railroad tracks, according to a sheriff's report. Carrillo failed field sobriety tests, and a breath test showed her BAC to be .177; the legal threshold in Illinois is .08.

• A resident of the 1S0-99 block of Mallory Drive near Geneva reported a case of fraud at 4:28 p.m. Friday after learning someone had cashed a fraudulent check for $6,240.

• Someone ran over a mailbox on the 2N400 block of Landrose Lane near Maple Park between 1 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. Saturday, causing an estimated $100 damage.
