Chicago Fire players get OK to train on team fields
Chicago Fire players will be allowed to begin voluntary individual workouts Friday at the team's training facility at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview.
It is the first phase of Major League Soccer's return to play since it suspended the season March 12. Players have been working out on their own under the guidance of the team's training staff since then.
The plan for the voluntary individual workouts on the Fire's training fields are being coordinated with MLS, state and local health officials.
The Fire hopes to start small group training sessions soon.
