Stop by outdoor family movie night Aug. 29

Operation Our Kids is inviting the community to a free outdoor family movie night.

According to a Facebook post, "Instead of promoting a back-to-school event this year, we will promote family fun and unity in our community!

It will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 420 W. Downer Place in Aurora.

They advise attendees to arrive early for parking at 5 p.m. The first movie will start at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited. Parking in a church lot off Garfield Avenue is free.

Operation Our Kids is an Aurora-based nonprofit group of Aurora-area community leaders, activists and small-business owners. The nonprofit will provide free food, beverages, snow cones, popcorn and candy.

This event is for all ages, family oriented and will strictly observe all social distancing requirements! It will be a fun-filled evening for families. Remember to bring your mask along with lawn chairs and blankets.

This is an alcohol- and smoke-free event.

Also, a free barbecue dinner at Our Savior, sponsored by O.N./U.S., is rescheduled to 3 to 6 p.m. Wedesdays from multiple times weekly.
