Glenview adds fireworks to July 4 celebration

The Glenview Park District is officially planning to host fireworks on July 4 at Gallery Park. This year, the show will not be synchronized to music and there also will not be a live musical performance before the fireworks show.

More details about parking and crowd control will be released in June.

The park district and village in April announced plans for hosting a "reverse" parade again in 2021. Residents will be able to obtain timed tickets to drive through Community Park West to see stationary "floats" set up by community groups from the safety of their cars. More details and tickets for the "reverse" parade will also be released in June.

The Glenview Park Board and the village are responsible for determining whether or not the parade and fireworks are held.
