Looking for substance

Rep. Krishanamoorthi recently published an op-ed to pontificate on the Afghan citizens and their strife. He reiterated what everyone already knew. He however never mentioned (as our rep) what he could do to get the trapped Afghans and Americans out of Afghanistan. Keep pressure on the secretary of state? Keep pressure on the president?

Nope, didn't talk of doing any of that. He went on to state old policies for citizenship which were not applicable to the 100,000 Afghans awaiting their fate in the U.S. Since the majority of these individuals have no notable background history, there can be no actual detailed vetting process. They could be good individuals or bad individuals.

Think of the positive political press Krishanamoorthi could get by taking into his home just one Afghan family. Nope he didn't offer to do this, either. His commentary was a "feel good article" with no real substance. Typical politician, so sad.
