Palatine's 'Holidays on the Town' returns Nov. 19 with deals, entertainment
Downtown Palatine's "Holidays on the Town" returns this month with 19 businesses offering deals, raffles and treats.
The event, which takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. Nov. 19, is hosted by the Downtown Palatine Business Association. People can purchase $10 "entry passports" at any of the participating businesses on the day of the event. Guests also receive event bags.
Those who get stamped at any participating business will be entered into a raffle to win baskets filled with gift cards.
The downtown association also will provide a "holiday trolley" to whisk people to participating locations. The trolley will start at 5 p.m. at Durty Nellie's, 180 N. Smith St., and circle the downtown area approximately every 20 minutes. Guests are encouraged to use the village's free Gateway Center parking garage, 210 N. Smith St., just north of Durty Nellie's.
"Our member businesses are thrilled to bring back this popular event at the start of the holiday season," said Downtown Palatine Business Association President Mica Mahler, also the co-owner of participating business Cook, Cork and Fork.
"We invite area residents to get a group together and support our small businesses while enjoying a night of fun and shopping!"

• American Legion: drink specials, free pudding shot, T-shirt giveaways.
• Anne's Unique Boutique: 20% to 50% off select items.
