Dr. Gordon Ziols Installed as Chicago Dental Society's Northwest Side Branch Director
Dr. Ziols Among Three New Branch Directors to Join Chicago Dental Society Leadership.
A practicing general dentist for more than 30 years, Gordon Ziols, D.D.S., of Park Ridge, Illinois, was installed as Northwest Side Branch Director of the Chicago Dental Society (CDS) on November 14. Previously, Dr. Ziols held multiple leadership positions within the Northwest Side Branch, such as Secretary and President, and is currently Chairman of the CDS Peer Review Committee.
As Northwest Side Branch Director, Dr. Ziols will help govern Northwest Side Branch members, drive engagement, recruit members, and help with preparations for the 157th Midwinter Meeting, taking place February 24-26 at McCormick Place West in Chicago. The Midwinter Meeting is CDS' annual scientific meeting and one of the dental industry's premier events. The 2022 event will be back in person after a virtual experience in 2021 and will offer attendees access to courses taught by world-class speakers and today's leaders in dental innovation, live exhibits, and networking opportunities with colleagues and friends. He will hold this position until 2025.
Dr. Ziols holds a bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Loyola University School of Dentistry. In 2016, he was awarded the Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry. He currently runs his own practice in Chicago, which he has operated since 1983. In addition to his membership with CDS, Dr. Ziols is a member of the American Dental Association and Illinois State Dental Society and is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Throughout his career, Dr. Ziols frequently volunteers his time and expertise at Mission of Mercy, Envisions Unlimited, Donated Dental Services of Illinois and the CDS Foundation Dental Clinic.
Dr. Ziols and his wife, Therese, live in Park Ridge and have three sons, Jon, Phillip and Vince. In his free time, Dr. Ziols enjoys golfing, downhill skiing, road biking, cooking and traveling.
Established in 1864, CDS is the largest local society of the American Dental Association, with more than 4,000 members in Cook, Lake and DuPage counties.
