Abbey Farm introduces 'Gather + Sip'
Looking to relax, unwind and play a little?
Starting Feb. 3, Abbey Farms in Aurora is introducing "Gather + Sip," a new suburban destination for small events that feature live music, cooking demos, painting classes, and more.
It will be offered on Thursday to Saturdays in the Nagel Emporium at Abbey Farms, 2855 Hart Road.
On Thursday evenings, sign up for Mixology (Feb. 10); Hands-On Charcuterie (Feb. 17); or Monk Mixers (every fourth Thursday, starting Feb. 24). They also will be offering Gardening Prep and Vegetable Gardening on April 14.
Plus every Friday night features "Dance @ the Farm" from 4 to 10 p.m., with a $15 cover. From 7 to 9:30 p.m., there will be live music with a menu of gourmet flatbreads and appetizers. First up will be The Downtown Charlie Brown Blues Band on Feb. 4, followed by the Brother John Kattke Band on Feb. 11; Guitara Azul on Feb. 18; The Leroy Winn Trio on Feb. 25; Daughter Nikki on March 4; Caught On Cline on March 11; and the Aaron Kelly Band on March 18.
Most events include an appetizer or drink or both, and the Emporium Café is always open.
Unwind on Saturdays at The Emporium Store between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. with an old-fashioned board game, watching a stream featuring the Olympics or classic movies, or a visiting trunk show - all while sampling the monk-made Marmion Abbey Ale, or the Marmion Abbey wines from California, or Marmion Abbey coffee from Guatemala.

Abbey Farms is a family-friendly agritourism destination in Aurora. The nonprofit farm has been growing memories since 1949, with its Pumpkin Daze fall festival, holiday season and U-cut Christmas trees, and live music with its Summer Ramble season. Now, it's year-round with the "Gather + Sip" cafe and event experience.
The 6,000-square-foot Nagel Farmstead Emporium store offers specialty foods, Marmion Abbey ales, wines and coffee; a bakery; and a host of seasonal items, including fresh sweet corn and produce (seasonal). An apple orchard will begin producing in 2023. All proceeds benefit the monks of Marmion Abbey. Visit AbbeyFarms.org for more information.
