Des Plaines council to talk Metropolitan Square

The Des Plaines city council will meet Monday night to discuss the future of the Metropolitan Square Plaza and other business.

Consultants came up with improvement plans for the commercial and residential development north of Miner Street in 2015, but none of their recommendations were implemented.

The plans are being dusted off now at the request of Mayor Andrew Goczkowski. They were supposed to be reviewed last month, but the discussion was postponed because Goczkowski and two aldermen were absent.

The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at city hall, 1420 Miner St. It will be livestreamed at desplaines.org.
