Huntley's Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church to host new member gathering Feb. 20

Interested in joining Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church in Huntley? A new member gathering will be held on Sunday, Feb. 20, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the church, 10805 Main St.

Prospective members, guests and visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the congregation, the church family, and its leadership.

It is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America community of faith that shares a passion for making positive changes in the world.

The church provides dynamic worship led by the Rev. Mark Boster, pastor, and it is filled with meaningful small groups and a strong commitment of service to others.

Worship services include:

• 5 p.m. - Saturday evening Communion service at 5 p.m., using familiar hymns;

• 9 a.m. - Sunday morning traditional service with Communion at 9 a.m., using familiar hymns;

• 10:45 a.m. -Sunday morning contemporary service, using contemporary music, language and multimedia;
