Suburban theaters loom large during Chicago Theatre Week

If you haven't experienced suburban theater lately, now is the time to do so as suburban theaters from Lincolnshire to Oak Brook and from Skokie to Aurora raise the curtain on Chicago Theatre Week, running now through Feb. 27.

A revival of a musical masterwork, a new whodunit and a Midwest premiere are among the suburban productions offering a limited number of $30 and $15 tickets for select performances during the annual celebration, which this year finds many theaters struggling to rebound from the hiatus imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Having gone virtual last year in response to the pandemic, Chicago Theatre Week resumes in-person performances this year in celebration of its 10th anniversary.
