State Sen. Laura Murphy opening new office in Des Plaines

State Sen. Laura Murphy will be opening a new office in Des Plaines on Tuesday, March 1.

The new office is at 1645 S. River Road, Suite 7, Des Plaines. Her office can be reached at (847) 718-1110, or online at http://senatorlauramurphy.com/contact-us.

"Senate district offices typically assist constituents with state-related programs, such as unemployment insurance, SNAP benefits, and child support," Murphy, a Democrat from Des Plaines, said in an announcement of the move. "I hope people in my community will take advantage of these resources at our new office location."

Murphy is leaving her current office at 880 Lee St., #100, in downtown Des Plaines.

"I regret moving from downtown Des Plaines, but I'm encouraged by the continued redevelopment of the downtown area," she said.

Murphy represents the 28th Senate District, which includes all or parts of Schaumburg, Elk Grove Village, Des Plaines, Rosemont and Park Ridge.
