Letter: Despots see weakness in U.S. leadership

Why would any country seeking nuclear weapons be dissuaded in their efforts to continue their pursuits? We need to look no further than Ukraine's present circumstance to conclude that a nuclear profile adds "big-boy" pants to any nation so equipped. Had Ukraine continued their weapons pursuit, their status might have changed Putin's calculus, thereby avoiding their present circumstance. But no, Ukraine fell for the old "you don't need nukes" routine, believing they would be protected from their menacing neighbor and "he'll respect you in the morning." Very bad advice, retrospectively.

Now President Biden is trying to resell that same narrative to Iranians so we can rejoin the Iran nuclear deal. We're dealing with a country with the slogan "Death to America." Even if Iran gets more planeloads of assorted cash and the removal of all sanctions, does anyone really believe that Iran would abandon their nuclear weapons effort?

"Big-boy" pants are on the horizon. And let's not forget that even before Trump nixed that ridiculous deal, Iran wasn't following the prescribed inspection regiment anyway. "Come on man."

Before Putin started destroying Ukraine, Biden's team and their media counterparts repeatedly told us that sanctions would preempt an invasion. Surprise, surprise. That wasn't true and so the bombings began. Biden's response: "we knew that the sanctions weren't preemptive." What? This is full frontal clown-town ridiculous.

What is America's present world status after this administration's "blunderful" series of continuing catastrophes, like our unmanaged border crisis and the botched Afghanistan withdrawal? No doubt Mr. Putin perceived weakness and acted. Now smelling blood in the water, China is likely designing their plan to take Taiwan. Another looming disaster that further strengthens Mr. Chi's dominance.

Fortunately, border expert VP Harris has been dispatched to Europe to fix the Ukraine mess.
