Camp Invention's summer science program coming to Arlington Heights

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS - Camp Invention, a nationally recognized summer program focused on creativity, innovation, real-world problem-solving and the spirit of invention, said it will add an Arlington Heights location.

The camp will be held July 11-15 at Dryden Elementary School, 722 S. Dryden Place. Camp Invention will also be held June 6-10 at a school to be determined in Wheeling, June 13-17 at a site to be determined in Glen Ellyn and June 20-24 at St. Hubert Catholic School in Hoffman Estates.

Camp Invention challenges children in grades K-6 to tap into their natural curiosity and use their creativity to solve problems. For example, in the Robotic Aquatics class, children dive into cutting-edge ocean research as they adopt their own aquatic animals, design and patent aquatic plants, and take their new friend home in a mini tank.

All local Camp Invention programs are facilitated and taught by certified educators who reside and teach in the community. Camp Invention serves 130,000 students every year and partners with more than 1,800 schools and districts across the nation. For more information or to register, visit invent.org/camp.
