Antioch police ask for security footage after string of vehicle thefts

The Antioch Police Department is asking residents for security camera footage after a string of vehicle entries and an attempted garage burglary early Monday morning.

In a Facebook post, authorities said that several vehicle entries occurred in the Antioch Manor subdivision on Joren and Johelia trails and Donin Drive between midnight and 2:30 a.m. Monday.

A resident also reported an attempted entry to a detached garage on the 600 block of Main Street.

Police said that five thieves in total may be involved.

The department ask that any resident who was victimized or who has exterior security camera footage from Monday night to call the dispatch center at (847) 270-9111.

Authorities advise residents to lock up their vehicles and homes, leave their exterior lights on at night and report any suspicious activity.
