Ruse burglary reported in Des Plaines
A Des Plaines woman reported her home was burglarized Friday while she was distracted by someone posing as a utility worker.
The crime occurred about 3:30 p.m. on the 600 block of West Oakton Street.
Two people went through the house and stole cash while the impostor was in the kitchen with the woman, police said.
