Open Mic Night fundraiser supports soldiers of Ukraine

Revived Soldiers Ukraine will be hosting an Open Mic Night from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at the First United Methodist Church, 123 N. Plum Grove Road, Palatine, to raise funds to help with medical care and humanitarian aid for the soldiers in Ukraine.

"We wanted to give local talent a chance to perform and help the soldiers in Ukraine," said Jean Adaskevich, one of the co-chairs of the project. "We are looking forward to an entertaining evening where the whole community can come out, have some fun and help with humanitarian aid in Ukraine. We will also have a speaker with some personal stories from the war in Ukraine."

The expected donation is $10; for a donation of $20 individuals will receive a T-shirt with a map of Ukraine.

The evening will feature a variety of music styles and artists. Individuals can also watch the performances streamed and donate at live.fumcpalatine.org.
