The Center of Concern, Des Plaines, is now an approved Local Housing Counseling Agency by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. With HUD Certified Housing Counselors on staff, the agency is specially prepared to assist residents to assess their financial situations, evaluate options, and make plans for housing assistance.
"With inflation affecting everything from food to gas, a lack of affordable housing, and the timely assistance necessary for residents to access effective community resources, the need for our agency's housing services to stabilize families is greater than ever," said Center of Concern Executive Director John McNabola.
As a HUD-approved housing counseling agency, the Center of Concern is able to provide counseling to consumers on seeking, financing, maintaining, renting, or owning a home, and address homelessness through counseling and help homeowners in need of foreclosure assistance.
With special training from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, clients can have confidence that the Center of Concern's housing counselors are well equipped to evaluate options and maintain quality affordable housing.
