District 207 Students Earn Art Scholarships as Part of High School Art Exhibition

Student artists from Illinois high schools who showcased their artwork recently are now eligible for college scholarships offered as part of the Annual Illinois High School Art Exhibition (IHSAE) Senior Scholarship Exhibition. The exhibit includes some 300 senior artworks.

The following students from District 207's three high schools earned scholarship offers from multiple schools.

From Maine East: Madelyn Lee. From Maine South: Connor Dilan, Mikolaj Dykiel, Marina Lisova, Julia Vacala, Eden Wening and Lily Wening. From Maine West: Mya Caceres, Joanna Contreras, Jack Dinse and Kyra Harrington.

In addition, Kyra Harrington from Maine West received an Honorable Mention in The Senior Show

The following students from District 207's three schools had representation in the IHSAE General Show, exhibiting the best works of the entire district. From Maine East: Janette Avila, Laith Al Husseny, Joyselyn Herrera, Gabi Miller and Simona Zlatkova. From Maine South: Soren Lenzini, Emmy Buckley, Mary O'Brien, Kendall Rink, Nat Kowalewska, Laith Al Husseny. From Maine West: Laura Grahn, Natalia Habczyk, Weronika Kmie, Gabby Szewczyk and Zensanna Yost.

This show is the state's largest high school student art exhibition that is also widely considered the gold standard amongst high school student art exhibitions nationwide.
