The Forest Preserve District of Kane County is hosting monthly meditative walks for anyone age 18 or older who is grieving the loss of a loved one.

These healing hikes are over gentle terrain.

It will include poems, nature activities, and periods of silent reflection so that we can access the healing powers of nature and community.

The next "Healing Hikes" will be 10 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, May 1, at Lone Grove Forest Preserve, 49W055 Perry Road in Maple Park. it is located 2.5 miles northwest of Route 47.

Please dress for the weather, bring a photo of your loved one, and wear comfortable walking shoes.

Registration is suggested, but not required.
