Local leadership coach gives TEDx Talk
Aurora, IL, March 28, 2022 - Local author, speaker and leadership coach Marianne Renner recently earned the rare honor of sharing her story on the prestigious TEDx stage.
Renner was one of eight speakers at the TEDx Montana State University conference in Bozeman, MT where she spoke about how to overcome fear and self-doubt.
TED Talks are part of a well-known organization that provides a global platform for thinkers, visionaries and leaders to share meaningful new ideas. TEDx conferences are licensed by TED and held across the globe.
“Truthfully, I'm still kind of in shock and very humbled that the TEDx organization believed I had an idea worth sharing with the world,” Renner said.
“My TEDx Talk is aimed at helping people from all walks of life overcome hurdles that seem impossible. I've personally seen what can happen when people learn to override fear and doubt,” she said.
In her TEDx Talk, Renner tells the story of how she coached a group of small-town hip hop kids who competed in the National Junior Olympics against all odds.

“I watched a group of hip hop kids say yes to a seemingly impossible opportunity when they accepted an invitation to compete in the National Junior Olympics,” Renner said. “As a result, it changed all of our lives.
