Cory Kamholz Joins FGM Architects

FGM Architects (FGMA) is pleased to announce that Cory Kamholz, AIA, LEED AP, CPHC has joined the firm as Design Principal, focused primarily on the firm's Higher Education and Municipal practice areas.

Cory received his B.A. in Architecture from Washington University and went on to earn a M. Architecture degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he was awarded the AIA Henry Adams Medal.

Cory was a designer at Holabird & Root where he spent 10 years before joining Harley Ellis Devereaux (HED) in 2016 as Chicago Design Leader and Associate Principal. His experience across market sectors includes Higher Education, Science & Technology, Healthcare, Housing (Affordable, Student, Senior) and Workplace environments. Clients that Cory has worked with include Northwestern University, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Malcolm X College, Knox College and Western Illinois University.

At FGMA, Cory reunites with former Holabird & Root colleagues, Jan Behounek, AIA and Karl Schuster. Ms. Behounek, now Director of FGMA's Higher Education practice notes that, "We're thrilled to welcome Cory whose expertise and experience will enhance the bench strength of our team and propel FGMA's growing portfolio in higher education. Well-known for his design talent and innovative problem-solving skills, Cory is also an effective team leader and mentor to young architects."
