Naperville Bank & Trust hired to handle city of Naperville banking
Naperville Bank & Trust, a Wintrust community bank, has been awarded all primary banking services for the City of Naperville, the fourth largest municipality in the state of Illinois.
The bank was selected for its experience with several other area municipalities, the capacity and resources of Wintrust Financial and the knowledgeable personal service of a local community bank.
Naperville Bank & Trust will serve the city's primary banking services including depository, payables, payroll and lock box services.
Rachel Mayer, Finance Director for the City of Naperville says the city's service needs are big but having access to people who are responsive and committed to personal service was an important consideration. "We were looking for someone with government experience and scale who also had a local orientation. We have thirteen lines of business and serve a lot of different customers. Wintrust put together a local team that could handle the volume and provide solutions to serve our lines well. Wintrust was also committed ensuring fraud prevention measures were put in place," she says. "As a local government, we are in the business of providing great customer service for the people and businesses in the community. We see that same commitment in Naperville Bank & Trust."
Tom Miers, president of Naperville Bank & Trust, says "As a resident of Naperville, ensuring that our city's financial services are in good hands is important to me. As president of Naperville's community bank, we are proud to be able to provide the city with experienced, and immediately available local professionals combined with robust, intuitive technology and the capacity of a $50 billion bank in Wintrust."
Founded in 1991 to be the alternative to the big banks, Wintrust has since grown into a financial services company with more than $50 billion in assets, headquartered in Rosemont, Illinois. Through multiple companies and divisions, Wintrust provides traditional community banking and commercial banking services, wealth management solutions, commercial and life insurance premium financing, mortgage origination, and short-term accounts receivable financing and certain administrative services, such as data processing of payrolls, billing, and treasury management services.
