On July 9 VFW Post 2486 was renamed the major Paul are Syverson III memorial post. Post commander Marie Honeywell presented the Syverson family with a plaque Commemorating the dedication of the post. Syverson a resident of Lake Zurich was killed in Iraq in 2004 we had previously served as one of the first special forces into Afghanistan after 911.
