Winnetka Office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago collects school supplies for Cradles to Crayons through Aug. 31, during Community Kindness
The Winnetka office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago is pleased to announce that they will hold a school supply drive for Cradles to Crayons as part of the firm's annual Community Kindness event. Through Aug. 31, members of the community can drop off new school supplies at the BHHS Chicago office, located at 839 Elm St., Monday through Friday between 10 am and 4 pm. The mission of Cradles to Crayons is to provide children from birth through age 12 with the everyday essentials they need to thrive - at home, at school, and at play. Their vision is a future free of childhood poverty. The most requested items include notebooks, folders, pencils, rulers, scissors, crayons, glue sticks, pencil sharpeners, erasers and backpacks.
Kevin Rynes, managing broker of the Winnetka office, said, "In the bustle of getting ready for the new school year, it can be easy for parents to lose sight of the fact that not every kid has the essentials they need to start school. The agents in our Winnetka office wanted to help Cradles to Crayons gather as many school supplies as possible to help kids get off on the right foot. Community Kindness, held in conjunction with the firm's Kindness Foundation, is an annual all-company event where BHHS Chicago offices select organizations to support.
