Wonderful World of Wheels set for Sept. 19 in Naperville

Naperville Park District invites young children and their families to see, touch, and experience life-sized community vehicles, including police cars, park maintenance trucks and more at the 23nd annual Wonderful World of Wheels, presented by Woody Buick GMC.

This free event takes place on Monday, Sept. 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Fort Hill Activity Center parking lot, located at 20 Fort Hill Drive.

"This is the first year that we are hosting the event at Fort Hill Activity Center," said David Naydenoff, program manager. "Holding the event at one of the Park District locations gives us added flexibility and provides a convenient location for young families."

Some of the familiar vehicles featured this year include fire trucks, police vehicles, park maintenance tractors and public works trucks.

The event is supported by several participating community agencies that bring their vehicles.

Additionally, the event sponsors help keep the event free.

Sponsors include Woody Buick GMC, Texas Roadhouse, Rocket Ice, LeafGuard, TR Miller, Oswald's Pharmacy, Russian School of Mathematics, Star Smiles and Rush Kids.

Additionally, Go Doggy Run will have a food truck on site, weather permitting, with snacks and lunch items available for purchase.
