National Fire Prevention Week October 9 - 15, 2022

Local State Farm Agent Stefanie Curtis donated a fire prevention kit to help firefighters educate the Gurnee, IL community about having a fire escape plan.

Every day, seven people die in home fires, most often in homes without working smoke alarms. That's why State Farm agents across Illinois are teaming up with their local fire departments to promote this year's Fire Prevention Week campaign, "Fire won't wait, Plan your escape™". This year's campaign, works to educate everyone about simple but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safe.

This month, more than 625 State Farm agents in Illinois, are delivering fire prevention kits to their local fire department to help more neighbors.

State Farm Agent Stefanie Curtis and the Gurnee Fire Department encourage all residents to embrace the 2022 Fire Prevention Week theme "Fire won't wait, Plan your escape™".
