Lombard's Fall Blood Drive honors veterans and memory of former Village President Bill Mueller

The Village of Lombard is hosting its annual fall blood drive on Tuesday, Nov. 15 in honor of Veterans Day.

This event also recognizes the former Village President Bill Mueller, who passed away in 2012.

Residents are encouraged to donate blood in honor of Mueller's dedication to Lombard's veterans.

The blood drive will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the mobile coach parked on the lower level of Yorktown Center outside of Von Maur, and at First Church of Lombard, 220 S. Main St., from 1:30 to 7 p.m.

Donors will receive a coupon from Noodles & Company, while supplies last.

In an effort to remember the outstanding courage and commitment to freedom made by our veterans, residents are encouraged to donate.

Mueller was a lifelong servant to the Village of Lombard and this blood drive honors his passion for giving back to community members, including Lombard's veterans.
