Veterans Day collection drive continues to Nov. 11 in Wheaton

DoodleBug Workshop, along with Wheaton Park District, Wheaton Library, Arrowhead Golf Club, Wheaton City Hall, Downtown Wheaton Association and Innovator, is collecting items for several veteran organizations through Nov. 11.

It is an opportunity to provide much needed items for the men and women who have served to preserve the freedoms we are blessed to enjoy.

Items being collected are: cards to veterans, small size toiletries, cleaning supplies, dog food, household items, beef jerky, protein bars, drink mixes, socks, gloves, leftover Halloween candy and warm coats.

Dropoff locations in Wheaton include Doodlebug Workshop, 314 S. Main St.; Wheaton Park District, 1777 S. Blanchard Road; Arrowhead Golf Club, 26W151 Butterfield Road; Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley; Wheaton Public Library, 225 N. Cross St.; and Innovator, 190 N. Hale St.
