COD documentary examines growing mental health issues among college students

In honor of World Mental Health Day, COD's Marketing and Communications Department premiered a new documentary "Lifelines: Finding Balance On Your Path to Mental Health."

Broken into five chapters, "Lifelines" explores the pressures facing students today, identifies signs and symptoms of various mental illnesses, outlines avenues for seeking treatment and shares students' stories detailing personal struggles.

In the film, COD alumna Amy Rubio and current COD student Kayleigh Yarbrough share their personal mental health journey and their advice to others who are struggling.

Also featured are COD Mental Health Counselors Silvia Donatelli and Dennis Emano, Dean of Student Affairs Nathania Montes, Human Services Professor Jason Florin and external health experts from Northwestern Medicine, Central DuPage Hospital and the DuPage County Health Department.
