NSYMCA Holds Annual Meeting; Appoints New Board Members
Recognizing a year of rebuilding while meeting the developing needs of a community reemerging from a pandemic, the North Suburban YMCA held its Annual Meeting on Wednesday, October 19. The meeting included a year in review, the reappointment of current Board members, and appointment of new Board members.
The 2022- 2023 NSYMCA Board of Directors includes Board Chair, Jim Tuchler; Vice Chair, Ron Bernardi; Vice Chair, Sal Manso; Treasurer, Anne O'Connor; Secretary, Steven Elisco; At Large, Larry Koehler; At Large, Michael Redstone; and Immediate Past Chair, Cathy Gregory. Other Board Members include Meredith Ade, Johanna Benavides, Andrew Dempsey, Hussein Din, Todd Heller, Nathan Margol, Kamal Natarajan, Jerry Nolan, Bill Schloss, Alison Whitlock, and Chinmaya Yerramilli.
Also at the meeting, staff longevity was acknowledged honoring Barb Savino and Missy Contri for 15 years of service and Megan Vazquez for 10 years. Lindsay Brown, Ellen Mirochnick, Brennen Renteria, Sheldon Rosenberg, Min Jae Shin, and Joanna Szewczuk all received pins for 5 years of service.
"I'm honored to work alongside Kathy Fielding and her great staff as we build towards our vision for 2023," said Jim Tuchler, NSYMCA Board Chair. "Our Y has so much to offer everyone in our community and it remains the best value in the area. This coming year, we're embarking on a strategic plan that aims to continue to keep our YMCA relevant and central to the 15 communities we serve."
