The Schaumburg Fire Department Helps Decorate Massive Christmas Tree at Friendship Village

The visit is eagerly anticipated every year around this time.

The residents of Friendship Village in Schaumburg look forward to the Schaumburg Fire Department coming to the senior living community to help decorate a massive Christmas tree in their Bridgegate Atrium. Ten members of the Fire Department came this year, a tradition that dates back almost 40 years.

A celebratory event was held as residents gathered to watch. Coffee and donuts were served, and Christmas songs were sung.

"We have a wonderful relationship with the Schaumburg Fire Department and are grateful for their help in many ways. Having them come and help us start the holiday season is a community partnership that we value," said Mike Flynn, CEO of Friendship Village.
