Letter: Just the beginning?
So Portillo's is going cashless only in their drive-throughs. In addition to the high costs for food and the fact that it probably costs $5 in gas to get through the long lines and slow service when using the drive through, I can only wonder how long it will take before we hear the sob story of how the credit card companies' fees can't be absorbed by the business and the cost will be passed on. For the time being, I think I'll just continue to stay away.
