JCC photo exhibit revisits Jewish life in West Rogers Park
A photography retrospective, "Then and Now: 10 Decades of Jewish Community in West Rogers Park," will be displayed at Bernard Weinger JCC, 300 Revere Drive, Northbrook, until March 20.
Produced by the Jewish Neighborhood Development Council of Chicago and the Jewish Historical Society, the retrospective highlights the longest-standing Jewish neighborhood in Chicago.
The exhibit will move to Bernard Horwich JCC in West Rogers Park from March 20-April 28. It features annotated photos dating back to the early 1930s, when Jews first started settling in the far North Side neighborhood.
