The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated a ribbon cutting for Ellie Mental Health, 1804 North Naper Boulevard, Suite 250, on April 27. The ceremony was facilitated with esteemed ambassadors and community members, as well as civic leaders.
The Geneva Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting to celebrate 25 years in business for Josef's Elegante Meats & Deli, 716 W. State St., Geneva on April, 28. Owners Pat and Nanette Falcone cut the ribbon, held by Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns and Patrick Falcone, surrounded by family, friends, staff and Geneva Chamber of Commerce members and staff. The ceremony was facilitated with esteemed ambassadors and community members, as well as civic leaders, Naperville City Councilman Benny White, Will County Board Member Julie Berkowicz, Aurora City Council members Patty Smith and Emmanuel Llamas.
The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce awarded $4,000 in scholarships to four local high school students during its Lauren Brown Memorial Scholarship Awards Luncheon on April 27, hosted by the BACC Women's Biz Net at Biltmore Country Club in North Barrington. The Chamber's 2023 Scholarship Award Recipients are: Allie Goodwin, who plans to study Economics & Finance at Princeton University; Dylan Provenzano, who plans to study Exercise Science at Carthage College; Ellie Sanchez, who will study Business Marketing & Media at North Dakota State University; and Annika Singh, who will study Business at Harper College.
Ribbon Cutting for Northwestern Medicine Center for Pain and Spine Health in Bloomingdale which occurred on April 26. NW Medicine Center for Pain & Spine Health is located at 245 S. Gary Ave, Suite 100. The ribbon was cut by Doctors Mehul Pl Sekhadia, DO and Steven R. Stakenas, APRN, CNP with Mayor Franco Coladipietro cheering along with other NW employees and Chamber members. The new Center offers services for acute and chronic pain diagnosis, treatment and long-term management.
The Geneva Chamber of Commerce, along with St. Charles, Batavia, Elgin and Aurora chambers, held a ribbon cutting to celebrate the renovation of Fox Valley Hands of Hope, 200 Whitfield Dr., Geneva on April 28. Jonathan Shively, Executive Director of Fox Valley Hands of Hope cut the ribbon. Honored guests included Kane County Board Chairwoman Corinne Pierog, Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns and St. Charles Mayor Lora Vitek. The Campton Township Open Space Foundation in conjunction with the Illinois Clean Energy Foundation provided funding for a new well and pump for use at the Dog Park at Campton Township's Poynor Park. Kyle Weck of the Weck Auto Group and Volkswagen of Palatine presented a check to Jeff Fritz and Christina Morrison of Second City Canine Rescue as part of the WAG Cares initiative. Weck Auto Group made a cash donation to SCCR for every car sold during the month of March. Second City Canine Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is largely volunteer-operated.
On April 26 a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for Apex Logistics, a rapidly growing international logistics company. Their brand new 297,500-square-foot facility is located at 1301 Devon Avenue, Bensenville. Apex Logistics recently moved to Bensenville to allow them to consolidate several locations into one larger space. They have locations in 70 countries across six continents, 42 offices, and over 2,500 dedicated employees. They are known for their dependable solutions in freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, transportation management, warehousing and distribution.
